In-Person Graduation Event: Spring Grad Walk
Grad Walk is a unique, on-site experience for Spring 2024 graduates, guests, and other members of our UMGC family. At Grad Walk, the focus is on YOU, the graduate, and on your friends and family.
Graduates can select from multiple time slots during Grad Walk, May 9-12, 2024, for their individual recognition in the College Park Marriott Hotel & Conference Center at UMGC’s administrative headquarters in Adelphi, Maryland. Watch our Grad Walk video and go to Guide to Grad Walk to learn more.
Celebrations That Come to You
For stateside graduates living anywhere around the world, UMGC will also host an on-demand ceremony, featuring a student speaker and singer and the conferral of degrees by UMGC President Gregory W. Fowler, PhD, on the Spring 2024 Commencement website.
In addition, an online Gallery of Graduates will showcase recognition slides that you can personalize and share via email and social media.
Finally, you will receive a Grad Pack in April that will contain UMGC goodies to help jump-start the festivities.
We invite graduates and their friends and family to upload photos and congratulatory messages to the #UMGCgrad celebration stream.
